When you build a new community next to Twitter’s corporate headquarters, it’s safe to assume that tech amenities are an important lure.
In San Francisco, AvalonBay’s latest AVA-branded community, 55 Ninth St., will have a paperless leasing office right out of the Apple store playbook. Meanwhile, Avant Housing has three communities under development for which they’ve hired Studio O+A, a tech office design specialist, to draw up their common areas. Common area cocktail bars, a bike repair shop, and sewing machines are just some of the more offbeat amenities aimed at the young urban hepcat.
