A new live/work development in downtown Boise is under way in the city’s up-and-coming Central Addition neighborhood.

Developed by Boise-based LocalConstruct, the seven-story Fowler will include 158 apartments, five live/work spaces, and retail and restaurant space with adjacent public bike parking on the street level. The property will also feature bike storage, a green roof, a lounge, and a library.

“We’re dedicated to the mindful revitalization in downtown Boise,” says LocalConstruct co-founder Casey Lynch. “The project will still feel like Boise, just a more urban and updated version of downtown that perfectly accommodates a walkable, active lifestyle.”

The Fowler will help Boise meet its goal of creating 1,000 residences in five years within the Central Addition, which is rapidly becoming downtown’s newest pedestrian corridor. The design from Portland, Ore.–based Holst Architecture is focused on a modern iteration of downtown Boise’s traditional architecture.
