Serving people is a commitment for Windsor Communities, a property management company that owns and operates over 55,000 units nationwide. When the firm restrategized its corporate social responsibility program in 2021, it launched Windsor GIVE, a community engagement program that aims to enact long-term positive changes in the communities where associates live and work.

Organization: Windsor Communities
Mission: Enacting long-term, positive change in the communities where Windsor Communities invests, lives, and operates.
Campaign Began: July 2022
Windsor GIVE seeks to deliver stability and hope where it is needed most and around six pillars: housing, environment, hunger relief, health care, animal welfare, and OneTeamGives. As of the program’s third year, it has engaged over 90% of associates in the 17 markets where Windsor operates.
It produces four companywide charitable events each year. At Windsor’s annual Operations Conference, it engages over 500 associates in a charitable project to benefit the city where the event is hosted. Last year in Atlanta, Windsor associates packaged over 175,000 meals in two hours for the Atlanta Food Bank and Metro Atlanta YMCA. During the annual Day of Service, Windsor associates used company time to volunteer with organizations having positive impacts in their communities. Last year, 874 associates participated in one of the 20 volunteer events across the country, donating nearly 3,000 hours of time.
As part of its commitment, Windsor GIVE has created the OneTeamGives Fund, a grant program that is funded by voluntary donations from Windsor associates and helps other associates experiencing personal hardship. Since 2022, the fund has raised over $118,000 and has granted over $33,000 to associates in need.
In addition, Windsor’s longest-running charitable initiative, GIVE a Bear, raises funds through the sponsorship of teddy bears to donate to local chapters to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). It was launched as a national initiative last year, growing from four to 17 markets and engaging over 140 communities to support 15 RMHC charities. It more than tripled its bear donation, collecting 750, in addition to raising $43,000 for RMHC.
“Windsor GIVE embodies our company’s commitment to people and our mission of creating communities where they feel cared for,” says Mindi Kissling, associate vice president of learning program management at Windsor Communities. “GIVE has not only allowed our team members to make positive impact in their communities; it has also helped facilitate valuable connections between team members, which have significantly enhanced Windsor’s culture and overall employee experience.”
