Archstone-Smith is completing Archstone Boston Common, a $100 million-plus mixed-use community dotting the Boston skyline. The 28-story project, built by Suffolk Construction, will feature 420 residential units, 183,000 square feet of parking, and 5,500 square feet of street-front retail. Occupancy is scheduled for July 2006.

Galaxy Commercial Holding and The Carlyle Group are developing Vue, a waterfront high-rise condominium community in Old Town San Pedro, Calif. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, starting from the mid-$300,000s, will feature terraces and balconies, granite countertops, and porcelain tile flooring. Amenities will include a rooftop sky deck, pool, and fitness center. Occupancy is scheduled for early 2008.

Simpson Housing has opened two new 61-unit affordable communities in rural areas of California’s Central Valley. Lindsay Family Communities in Lindsay, Calif., and Palmer Heights Apartments in Huron, Calif., both offer three- and four-bedroom units featuring built-in kitchen appliances, patios or balconies, and carpeting. Amenities include a pool and spa, learning lab, fitness center, game room, and tot lots.

Isaac Hager is developing The Aurora, a 51-unit condominium community in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park. The one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, ranging from 624 square feet to 2,021 square feet, will feature hardwood floors, oversized windows, and kitchens with Sub-Zero refrigerators and Wolf ranges. Amenities will include a 24-hour doorman, fitness center, and rooftop deck. Occupancy is scheduled for fall 2006.

Prescott Realty Group and Apollo Real Estate Advisors are developing The Stoneleigh Residences, a 97-unit luxury high-rise condominium tower to adjoin Dallas‘ Stoneleigh Hotel. Residential Constructors is building the $60 million community. The one- and two-bedroom units will feature expansive windows and terraces offering city views, and residents can select from three interior design finishes. Amenities will include a pool, terrace with oasis gardens, fitness center, and business center. The project, along with a $20 million renovation of the hotel, is expected to be completed in late 2007.

Gables Residential and Cityplace Co. are developing 3636 McKinney Avenue, a mixed-use community in Dallas’ Uptown area to include 104 residential units and 28,000 square feet of first level retail space. The units, available in 10 unique floor plans, offer views of the city’s downtown and uptown areas. Good Fulton & Farrell Architects is designing the project.
