The Bozzuto Group has made a number of new hires at the Greenbelt, Md.-based firm. Steve Masengale has joined Bozzuto Construction Co. as division controller. He has two decades of experience in finance and accounting for large and mid-size builders and contractors. Kelly Arslanian has joined The Bozzuto Group as corporate controller, where she will oversee the implementation of a new consolidated accounting system and provide financial reporting for The Bozzuto Group. Finally, Bozzuto Landscaping Co. recently hired Joyce Johnston as business development representative.
The Irvine, Calif.-based Sperry Van Ness has also named a regional manager: Robert J. Conley, who will oversee the firm’s Palm Springs and Ontario, Calif., offices. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Conley served as president of Conley Commercial Real Estate Services. During his 20-year career, Conley has executed more than $750 million in apartment, retail, office, and industrial property transactions.
Pacific West Management has hired Teri Henry as Arizona district manager for the Irvine, Calif.-based property management firm. She has more than 13 years of experience in the multifamily industry, where she has handled market-rate, luxury, high-rise, tax credit, and senior housing.
HandyTrac Systems has promoted Larry Kratz to vice president of sales for the Bradenton, Fla.-based company. Kratz will oversee sales for the Florida, Dallas, Atlanta, and Phoenix sales offices at the company, which offers computerized key control systems for the apartment industry.
Creekstone Partners, a Houston-based division of real estate development and investment firm Creekstone Companies, has named Jeb Cox as director of multifamily acquisitions. Cox has worked as an associate with CB Richard Ellis’ multi-housing team in Houston and a project analyst with Trammell Crow Residential. Creekstone Partners specializes in the acquisition and management of Class A multifamily and commercial real estate assets throughout the country.
Steve Williams has joined American Faucet and Coatings Corp. as vice president for the OEM and commercial market divisions. He will oversee a national sales plan for OEM private label and commercial sales to multifamily and hotel projects for the Vista, Calif.-based plumbing manufacturer.
Ron Terwilliger, chairman and CEO of Atlanta-based Trammell Crow Residential, will remain as chairman of the NAHB Multifamily Leadership Board. Terwilliger, who first took reins of the board in September 2002, wants to use NAHB’s resources to encourage smart growth and higher density housing, fight the negative stereotypes associated with apartments, enact meaningful tort reform, protect and enhance the low-income housing tax credit program, and support the enactment of a multifamily production program to meet the nation’s demand for quality workforce rental housing.
Arbor Commercial Mortgage has appointed Thomas Murphy as CIO and executive vice president. Previously, he was CIO for Titleserv, an electronic real estate title and settlement services company. He brings more than 25 years of IT experience to his new job at the Uniondale, N.Y.-based company.
SB Architects has announced that Joseph A. Andriola and Kevin P. Dunn are now principals and shareholders in the firm. Andriola , who helped manage the Miami office’s design efforts and shape the firm’s design philosophy, will continue to direct the office’s design endeavors and lead the effort to develop and execute the firm’s long-term vision and direction. Dunn played an integral role in developing and leading the firm’s Miami office and, as a principal and shareholder, will continue to guide the office toward achieving the firm’s long-term goals.
DeBartolo Development LLC added Erik Hector to its team as a development officer. Hector, formerly president of Hector Companies, will develop retail shopping center and mixed-use projects throughout Florida and the southeastern United States.
