A sprawling office park along Interstate 287 in on West Harrison, New York, commonly known as the “Platinum Mile,” has seen a number of its former office sites demolished and converted into apartment properties, reports Peter Katz at the Westchester & Fairfield County Business Journals.

New apartment projects on this stretch include Carraway, a 421-unit community by Toll Brothers and J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives. The building has just moved in its first residents and stands on the 10-acre site formerly occupied by office buildings at 103 and 105 Corporate Park Drive. A former law office down the street has been demolished to make way for apartments, and a 303-unit apartment building by The NRP Group and Robert Weisz’s RPW Group is rising across the interstate in White Plains.

“We have had a few projects that have been reimagined office parks and we’ve had some terrific success on those projects,” says Bill Lovett, regional director of acquisition and development for Toll Brothers. “It’s amazing to see the vision as it’s coming to fruition particularly in Harrison with the Wegmans and the medical center and Life Time Fitness. It’s a neighborhood that when we first started was an office park. It’s been a complete transformation and we think an exciting use of the space.”
