JBG SMITH, a leading mixed-use owner and developer in the Washington, D.C., market, continues to put its mark on National Landing in Northern Virginia. Leasing is underway for Valen, its new mixed-use tower that will feature 355 apartments, a plethora of amenities, and 15,000 square feet of street-level retail.

Designed by architectural firm KPF, the 24-story glass tower features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Washington, D.C., skyline, National Landing, and the Potomac River.

The high-rise comprises one- to three-bedroom layouts. Residents will have access to a robust collection of amenities, including a rooftop pool and lounge; a state-of-the-art-fitness center; a 24-hour concierge service; coworking facilities; a premium pet spa with a grooming station; in-garage bike parking; and electric vehicle charging stations.

“Valen represents the next step in National Landing’s ongoing transformation into a vibrant, 24/7 urban destination,” said Michelle Tierce, executive vice president of asset management at JBG SMITH. “With its distinctive glass facade and sophisticated design, Valen further redefines the National Landing skyline while providing residents with unparalleled views and luxury living spaces. We’re excited to welcome residents to Valen, where distinctive, elevated living meets the dynamic energy of National Landing.”

The Zoe, Valen’s adjacent sister property, opened for leasing in December and complements the tower with its distinctive green brick facade and 420 apartments. Both communities are near numerous conveniences, including JBG SMITH’s dining and retail corridor along Crystal Drive, the Crystal City Metro station, a planned Virginia Railway Express regional rail connection, and the upcoming pedestrian bridge linking National Landing to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

In addition to Valen and The Zoe, JBG SMITH’s National Landing portfolio includes two developments that opened last year with a combined 808 residences—The Grace and Reva. The Grace features elevated apartments and penthouses in a building inspired by art deco and midcentury modern design. Reva focuses on wellness and sanctuary in its luxury studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and penthouse apartments.
