The Miami skyline became a bit more visually appealing last year when The Related Group opened the SLS Brickell Hotel and Residences. The 54-story tower features triangular balconies that cascade down the façades and create sweeping diagonal lines across the prism of the building.

Project Details

Location: Miami
Developer: The Related Group
Architect: Arquitectonica
Builder: John Moriarty Associates
Opened: November 2016
Number of residential units: 453
Unit mix: one- through four-bedrooms
Sales price: $576 per square foot

On the first eight floors are 124 SLS hotel rooms and suites; 453 condominium residences make up the rest of the building.

Amenities include a rooftop pool deck featuring two infinity-edge heated pools. Residents also have access to Hyde Beach, a club at the SLS Hotel South Beach, with lounges, beach and pool towel services, cabanas, and seaside snack and beverage services. The hotel amenities are also available to the condominium residents.

The project, which took nearly three years to complete, boasts a mural created by renowned German-born artist Markus Linnenbrink that employs a “drip technique” to cover the building façade.

All but one of the 453 units are sold or leased, with a sales price of $576 per square foot, which shows the community’s response to the project.

The building’s fitness center offers a spinning and yoga facility, and the development is surrounded by fine restaurants and chic shops. Not to mention one of the nicest amenities of all: Each time residents come home, they can admire the high-rise’s stunning exterior.
