The Plantation, Fla. City Council has approved Invesca Development Group’s development proposal for PIXL at Plantation, a community of 330 smart-home condo units aimed at the millennial buyer market.

The community is set to break ground in November 2019, and will consist of several residential buildings with geometric exterior forms reminiscent of computer pixels. The unit mix includes 86 studios, three one-bedroom units, 201 loft-style one-bedrooms, and 40 two-bedroom units, with double-height duplex units are located in the six-story main residential building. All 330 units are equipped with smart home features

The community’s amenities will be located across the 6.7-acre site, and include a resort-style pool and spa, aqua theater, zen garden, dog park with dog beach, and rock-climbing area. Residents can also access a 24-hour virtual concierge, interactive VR training, and virtual reality arcade on-site.

“The units at PIXL overlook an unprecedented 3 acres of resort style amenities that will focus on an active, social lifestyle,” says Christopher Longsworth, CEO of Invesca Development Group.

PIXL at Plantation is the second of three developments in Invesca’s master plan for the Sunrise Boulevard corridor. The Strata at Plantation townhome community, located next to PIXL, which has just completed its second phase of construction. Longsworth is planning a commercial mixed-use development, to be known as Modulus, for the community’s final phase.

“Improvements to the overall area and five-year plan in for the Sunrise Boulevard corridor were strongly considered prior to us purchasing and building out these properties,” Longsworth says. “Over $400 million in new improvements are already underway less than 3 miles from Strata and include commercial shops, dining and retail and a $200 million redevelopment of The Fashion Mall.”
