With the annual Multifamily Executive Conference going virtual, Sept. 30-Oct. 2, due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, MFE also is bringing its annual Concept Community online as a pre-conference session from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

This year’s MFE Concept Community explores strategies for serving Generation Z, which is just starting to enter the rental market. Anyone born from 1997 onward is part of this generation, with the oldest just turning 23. Also known as iGen and Zoomers, this generation is the most ethnically diverse and the largest in the nation’s history.

The webinar, supported by MFE Concept Community title sponsor Think Wood, will help shape your Gen Z approaches and will feature:

  • Joseph Batdorf, president of J Turner Research, who will discuss adapting amenities for Gen Z renters;
  • Daniel Gehman, principal at Danielian Associates, who will elaborate on the latest design trends;
  • Brad Hargreaves, CEO of Common, who will address the appeal of co-living for the younger generation; and
  • Erin Hatcher, vice president of sustainability at AMLI, who will break down going green to serve this eco-conscious generation.

The MFE Conference is also free for all multifamily industry property executives, developers, architects, builders, and other real estate executives.
