Mapmaker Rand McNally recently introduced a new mapping tool at customview.randmcnally.com/cvm that allows real estate professionals and others to create their own wall maps. Users can also e-mail a link of the map to colleagues and clients, who can view the map online before it’s printed. Rental Reprieve Aging apartment buildings Brooklyn Park, Minn., received a reprieve when voters rejected a $35 million bond referendum to destroy them. Now Hennepin County officials have pledged $4 million to renovate the apartments and are looking at tax-increment financing to provide additional funding. “If you have to buy out the housing, $4 million doesn’t take you very far,” says Larry Blackstad, community works division manager for the county. –L.S.
